Law enforcement agencies

Clear public records backlogs without pulling records staff or detectives off their regular work. Faces, plates, and screens are blurred, and personal details spoken on camera are muted. Redactions follow your state's public records laws and your agency's own standards.

Faces, minors, plates, and addresses blurred to broadcast standards, turned around on production deadlines.

I started my career as a police officer with the Salt Lake City and South Jordan police departments, where I wore a body camera, wrote reports, and collected evidence myself. I then spent nearly four years as a Technical Services Specialist at the South Jordan Police Department, where I managed digital evidence, kept chain-of-custody records audit-ready, and handled a steady stream of public records requests within legal deadlines.

That's where I learned what's at stake in a video release. One missed face or plate can put a victim, a witness, or a child at risk, and can cost an agency the public's trust. I started Hayes Redactions in 2023 to give agencies and organizations a careful, reliable extra set of hands for that work.

Most recently, I spent two years at a drone company supporting drone-as-first-responder programs for more than 90 public safety agencies nationwide, so I know how agency drone footage is captured and how quickly those programs are growing.

Today I redact footage for police departments, sheriff's offices, and television productions. Every project gets the same attention, whether it's one interview or a month of body cam requests.
